Business Development Associate

The Business Development Associate’s main responsibility will be to find, develop, and manage new business leads. This position will be a key part of an established sales team and will work closely with a Vice President of Business Development to expand Healthgram’s market presence and sell new business. This is a sales role that comes with an opportunity to establish a book of business early, learn from a supportive team, and grow within the company.


The position includes a mixture of in-office and remote work. In-office training will be necessary to get started. Potential for occasional work travel. Total compensation includes a base salary plus bonus and commission.


What the Business Development Associate will be responsible for:

  • Identify and uncover qualified broker/consultant leads in specific markets
  • Achieve new meeting activity goals
  • Working together with a VP of Business Development to sell new TPA and clinic business to midsize and large companies
  • Use email, phone, and LinkedIn to schedule initial meetings with qualified leads
  • Collaborate with a VP of Business Development to assist with initial meetings and ongoing sales strategy
  • Regularly following up with leads via virtual meetings, in-person meetings, telephone, email, and social media
  • Growing Healthgram’s market awareness and presence
  • Engaging in strategy discussions with our seasoned sales team, marketing team, and leadership
  • Eagerness to learn Healthgram’s solutions and advanced self-funded concepts
  • Documenting all activity, opportunities, and new business forecasting in a timely manner in our CRM.
  • Represent Healthgram’s core values, mission, and vision


What the ideal Business Development Associate will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Industry experience is not required
  • Previous employment in a sales or account management role is preferred
  • Experience interfacing directly with customer and prospect relationships
  • Understanding of the effort required with a longer sales cycle
  • Effective written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management, organizational skills, and responsiveness
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Desire to compete, work together, and win
  • Business to Business experience required
  • Team player that buys into Healthgram’s culture and growth goals
